Artistic Director/ Stylist

Jennifer Murphy-Connolly has wanted to be a hairdresser since she was 7 years old. She went to hairdressing school right out of high school and has been creating amazing styles ever since. Her passion led her to become a Senior National Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems in 2005 where she has shared her knowledge on stage to hundreds of others as well as to small local salons in the New England area. Sharing this artistry made her want to build a team of her own to see grow into amazing stylists. Jen also knew from being a stylist for over 20 years, she was unique in wanting to listen to her clients and helping them maintain their colors and styles through sharing the "how-to's" and product knowledge so they walk around like they just stepped out of the salon. This belief lead her to establish Art+Craft Salon in 2010. As a Master Colorist and Haircutter, Jen trains the Art+Craft Team. Her passion is creating dimensional hair color with a customized haircut to enhance the look.

Jen is a wife and a mother of two growing boys. She loves watching them play hockey. In her downtime she enjoys traveling with her family to Disney World and to hair shows with her best friend.

Master Stylist

Sophia Pierce has always loved being creative and unique with makeup and originally was interested in being a makeup artist. However, after attending hair school at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School, she fell in love with hair and found her passion there instead. She secured her Massachusetts Cosmetology license while being a part of the Art + Craft team and is a full time stylist. She loves creating bright and dimensional blondes, vivid and bright rainbow colors, as well as undercuts and side shaves. She is an enthusiast of anything color and loves the creativity that being a hairdresser entails. Her caring personality and wild sense of humor are assets to our salon.

When not at the salon, Sophia has a strong passion for music, art and animals. She has her own at home zoo with diverse mixes of all sorts of reptiles and amphibians as well as mammals.

Stylist

Giselle's artistic journey began early, marked by a natural affinity with all things related to art. Her pursuit of a fine arts degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth allowed her to delve deeply into color theory and design, refining her skills and expertise in the field. From a young age, Giselle was recognized for her vibrant use of color and talent with haircuts, a passion she cultivated through self-education and rigorous practice. In 2023, she took a significant step forward by enrolling in the cosmetology program at Tricounty Regional High School, where she was profoundly inspired by Jen, whose commitment to clients, colleagues, and her craft left a lasting impression. Recognizing her true calling, Giselle is now dedicated to a future in cosmetology at Art + Craft Salon, driven by her love for color, artistic expression, and a desire to help people look and feel their best.

Reservationist

Patti Murphy joined our team on 2019 to help us ensure the best experience during our busy times at our reservation desk. She is a fantastic addition to our team and has a great personality to greet you as you enter our space. She will take care of your future appointments and ensure you leave with the take home products that you need to duplicate your style created by your stylist.

Outside the salon, she is a passionate photographer and loves spending time with family.

Apprentice

Becoming a mother to three beautiful daughters has been one of the most transformative experiences of Leidy’s life, shaping not only my personal journey but also guiding my professional path into the heart of cosmetology. With each of her daughters blessed with uniquely textured curls, Leidy found herself immersed in the intricacies and variances of curly hair care. This intimate exposure to the diverse needs and characteristics of curly hair ignited her passion to specialize as a curly hair stylist.

Through her training at Art+Craft Salon, she has developed a strong expertise in handling all hair types. With considerable experience in hair cutting, coloring, styling, and keratin treatments, Leidy is confident in her abilities and knowledge. One of the key reasons she was drawn to work at this salon was Jen's commitment to ongoing education, the sense of being valued, and the collaborative team environment.

As she strives to become a curly hair specialist, Leidy aims to create a welcoming space where clients feel understood and valued. She is dedicated to educating individuals on the beauty and versatility of their hair, helping them navigate any challenges while celebrating their unique textures. Through her craft, she hope to inspire others to embrace their natural beauty.

When not at the salon, Leidy enjoys spending family time with her children and family.
